The Old Connecticut Path ran from Massachusetts Bay to the Connecticut River at Hartford. English settlers walked it in 1636, following a route Native people already used.
Connecticut only has our 1836 baseline map for now. Mathias Spiess mapped the state's trails in the 1930s, and we're looking for a clean scan. Do you know where a good copy is held?
