| Accuracy | About 3 km (RMS 0.3 km at 13 control points). Placed by hand in a map-queue session and approved by a person. If something sits in the wrong place, members can fix it with Fix placement on the map. |
| Method | Placed by hand on the sheet’s own 5′ graticule: its border ticks (21°55′–22°15′ N, 159°25′–159°50′ W) were fitted with a polyconic projection, the other coordinate of each tick taken from that fit, and the 13 points (with Kīlauea Point and the Russian fort at Waimea) warped with a first-order (affine) polynomial. See the methodology. |
